A package has been ironed out for the Winter Racing Season, centred around races at Pukekohe, Taupo and Manfeild and television coverage of the event. Two major sponsors have been found, with only their signatures required for the series to become a reality according to sources close to the organising committee. The series will be a tremendous boost to the New Zealand Motor Racing calender, providing race hungry fans with a diet of speed and spills they normally wouldn't get to see at that time of year. It is expected that fields at least as large as those at the New Zealand Racing Drivers' Dunlop Centennial Cup Series will line up on the grid to contest the series.
