Ted
began racing in 1975 with the Escort Sport Series, in the Escort
Club Racing Season. He went on to compete in Class I of the Benson
& Hedges in 1980, 1984 and 1987. The Wellington Street Races
in 1990, 1991 and 1992 were also highlights. Ted competed at Mt.
Panorama in the Bathurst 1000 in 1986, unfortunately failing to
finish the race. Just as memorable was his marriage in 1987 at
the Top of the Mountain, one hour after practice!! He is the current
1600 cc Class New Zealand Touring Car Champion.
